Wren's Bio
Wren
Ross is a professional actor, singer, and above all- a truly
devoted knitter. She loves working with colors and creates garments
that tell personal stories which she calls, “ Story of Fiber”.
Wren also performs a lively cabaret performance that celebrates
the delights and dilemmas shared by fiber artists called SINGING
WITH EVERY FIBER! She has performed her knitting songs at the
New York Knit-Out, The Taos Wool Festival and other Wool Gatherings.
Her writing about knitting has been published in the magazine
“Interweave Knits” as well as Random House’s book KnitLit: Sweaters
and Their Stories and other Writings about Knitting.
She has designed for Classic Elite, Rio Grande Wools,
JCA and LaLana Wools.
Wren’s has been acting for twenty years. She spent ten years in
“Shear Madness” as well as doing voice-overs for TV and documentaries
and museums. Wren has worked with Jason Robards, Walter Cronkite,
Mason Adams, and Cher.
Wren has taught Acting, Voice-Over and creativity workshops for
the past 25 years. She has been a regular guest instructor at
Boston Conservatory and Wellesley College. She was a psychotherapist
in private practice for 15 years and has a deep appreciation for
the healing value of the creative process.
